With an ambitious aim to provide unique new value to both people and landscapes, Xtreme LA 2022 challenged participants to find creative, innovative ways to transform the underutilized I-80 bridge and surrounding areas into a restored native ecosystem, a wildlife crossing, an outdoor recreation destination, and a potential new national park.

Guided by moderator Felix Oberholzer-Gee, Andreas Andresen Professor of Business Administration, Harvard Business School, the panel began with a brief discussion of the three pillars of sustainability—the dimensions of economic, social and environmental responsibility that, when existing in balance and harmony, form the basis for holistic sustainability. 

2021 was a milestone year for Landscape Forms, earning a record 55 product design awards. For Chief Creative Officer, Kirt Martin, these achievements are absolutely cause to celebrate, but they also tell a larger story—a narrative about people, business and design integrity, the power of innovation, and what the future holds for outdoor space.
