The Delmar Loop of Washington University’s Loft student housing apartments in St. Louis, Missouri, provides off-campus living for over 400 of their undergraduate students.
This vibrant commercial and retail corridor is just a half a mile from the main university campus, and has been designated as one of the 10 Great Streets by the American Planning Association. To capitalize on this urban connection, the designers of the complex incorporated an open-air rooftop as a communal space for the student residents that engages the bustling street below.
Students can relax and socialize under the sun-screening trellis on refined casual furnishings and enjoy the sights and sounds of their active neighborhood.
