The S-Line Streetcar & Greenway project encompasses a two-mile-long modern streetcar line connecting Salt Lake City’s Sugar House Business District with the regional TRAX light rail system, set within a greenway with pedestrian walks and bike lanes. The project was a high priority for municipal and transit agencies seeking to improve mobility and promote economic development in the city and its environments. The design solution by CRSA, in collaboration with the Salt Lake City Redevelopment Agency and Utah Transit Authority, employs Landscape Forms lighting throughout. Four hundred Annapolis LED bollards separate the streetcar corridor from the adjacent landscape and provide wayfinding for pedestrians and bikers. Sixty handsome 16’ tall Leo LED lights provide general illumination at platform stops along the way.
