Oracle’s 40-acre campus on Lady Bird Lake takes advantage of the best features of the Austin community with access to biking and hiking trails and views of the water and Austin skyline. The outdoor campus is as much of a draw as indoor elements such as fitness centers, restaurants, well-appointed apartments, and a striking, state-of-the-art 560,000 sf workplace.
Austin-based landscape architecture firm TBG Partners integrated the indoor and outdoor spaces on campus with large terraces and open spaces that entice employees to go outside to work, play, and rest and give people the opportunity to connect to nature and each other throughout the day. TBG’s design turns entryways and terraces into a series of outdoor rooms that are intentionally flexible, variable in size, comfortable, and beautiful. These spaces accommodate large groups, small team meetings, and solo work activities.
The site furniture TBG selected is also flexible and comfortable. Chipman Chairs, Stools, Dining and Standing-height tables and Parc Lounge Chairs and Ottomans give employees moveable elements that let them customize spaces to their liking and use. The red and white palette adds a pop of color that makes the design come to life. The seating and tables, along with Austin litter receptacles and stainless Bola Bike Racks, offer low-maintenance, durable site elements made for the outdoors.
