Northeast Wisconsin Technical College (NWTC), a two-year public college with campuses in Green Bay, Marinette, and Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin sought to upgrade its large outdoor plaza spaces within its Green Bay campus.
The plazas were underutilized, acting merely as pass-through areas between academic buildings. Recognizing the potential to add value to the plaza and cater to their students’ needs, NWTC approached Landscape Forms with a request for furnishings and planters to bring greenery into the hardscaped courtyard and foster socialization and connection to the outdoors in their students.
Catena tables and chairs outfitted with Equinox and umbrellas create a comfortable outdoor dining space for the nearby cafeteria, with additional Chill lounges placed nearby to encourage relaxation. Sorella planters help define and soften the open plaza, while colorful Windmark chairs and harvest tables positioned under a trellis structure are perfect for group study and outdoor learning sessions.
