Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design site furniture, structure, and lighting is pleased to announce the appointment of Laura Flannery Sachtleben, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, as the company’s new Director of Sales for the Central Region.
Flannery Sachtleben joins Landscape Forms from prominent architecture and engineering consulting firm Stantec where she served as Global Education and Science & Technology Sector Leader and the leader of the company’s Research + Benchmarking program. She brings extensive experience in the field of education facilities design, working for twenty years to build and nurture client relationships, lead project teams, and share her knowledge on topics of resilience, school safety and innovation in education architecture.
"In my career in architectural education design, there’s been an increased focus on outdoor learning and working with educators to explore unique new opportunities and possibilities,” says Flannery Sachtleben. "I’m excited to combine what I bring from this background with Landscape Forms’ furniture and lighting expertise to do some really innovative things outdoors—both in education and beyond.”
Currently based in Houston, TX, Flannery Sachtleben serves as the President of AIA Houston as well as the Chair of the Texas Society of Architects Government Affairs Committee where she ties her love of the architecture profession with her passion for supporting and advocating for the architecture profession as well as public education. In 2014, she was named one of AIA Houston’s Young Architects of the year and in 2017 one of ENR’s inaugural National Top 20 under 40 award recipients, and today she serves as AIA Houston’s Board President. Flannery Sachtleben also spearheaded the 2019 Houston Resiliency Innovation Workshop which aimed at furthering a holistic and interdisciplinary conversation around a resilient future in Houston.
"Laura comes from the design and architecture world, so she gets our customers and understands what they do on a daily basis,” says Landscape Forms Vice President of Sales, Scott Reinholt. "When we think of our sales team, we like to think of our role more as consulting. So, with Laura’s background as a leader in design, we think she’ll be an incredible asset as a consultative partner both for our customers and for this sales team.”
