Urbidermis
Since 1987, Urbidermis has been committed to improving urbanity through beautiful, socially responsible and environmentally conscious design. Born to renew the urban landscape of Barcelona in anticipation of the 1992 Olympics, the company has built a reputation of innovation in urban lighting, street furniture, micro-architecture and urban landscaping. Today, Urbidermis is leading the movement to reimagine cities that are greener, more connected and more human. The company collaborates with architects, landscape architects, lighting designers, urban planners and public administrations to help craft public spaces that are more uplifting, more sociable and more sustainable in cities across the globe.
Initially forged to supply North America with high-quality, well-designed European products for outdoor settings, the Landscape Forms-Urbidermis partnership has grown and evolved into a larger mission to change the very fabric of urban design and planning. Since 2006, the partnership has borne witness to the development and transformation of cities towards more sustainable and more human models, giving rise to quality urban environments imbued with biodiversity and designed to bolster the physical, mental and social health of their inhabitants. The resulting spaces work to turn the spotlight of city life onto citizens and nature, endowing spaces public and private with beauty, biophilia and diversity in design.
