Advancing Stewardship

Empowering Change & Building Better Communities Together.

We strive to celebrate our founder, John Chipman's legacy of environmentalism and positive community impact, while working to advance knowledge, influence and diversity in the landscape architecture profession.

Partnering for a Positive Impact

Landscape Forms and Loll Designs are both proud members of 1% for the Planet, a global movement that pairs businesses with approved environmental nonprofits to create high-impact partnerships that amplify the influence of their members’ giving. Landscape Forms has pledged donations to the Landscape Architecture Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to increase the transformational impact of landscape architects in creating a more sustainable future. Loll Designs supports a number of beneficiaries, including Hartley Nature Center, Friends of the Boundary Waters Wilderness, and Growing Up Chester.  To see the full list of Loll’s beneficiaries, visit lolldesigns.com.

Local Change has Global Effects

By supporting our local communities, collectively we can enhance global social and environmental sustainability in big ways.

We partner with the Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy to help maintain the Chipman Preserve, a 228-acre park that provides our community with a wealth of free and beautiful opportunities to connect with nature. Built on land donated by Landscape Forms founder, John Chipman, and his wife, Patti, the Preserve is celebrated for its native plants and wildlife, hiking trails, fall color watching and winter cross-country skiing.

We go local wherever possible in our supply chain, and we invest in our local Kalamazoo workforce by offering a range of opportunities for professional development and upward mobility.

We’re committed to community volunteering, and we provide our team members the opportunity to volunteer with local causes that are important to them. Collectively, we support the Adopt-a-Highway program, Comstock Community Center Food Drive, and local families through Adopt-a-Family.

Our colleagues at Loll Designs, in Duluth, MN, share this passion of community stewardship. Through the annual Clean Yer Creek event, volunteers gather hundreds of pounds of trash out of several area creeks. The team has also planted thousands of trees through forest restoration projects, in partnerships with Duluth City Parks and the City Forester.
