Landscape Forms Expands STRATA Beam Line and Applications

Landscape Forms, North America’s leading designer and manufacturer of high-design LED lighting, site furniture, and accessories, announces additions to the STRATA Beam line with a table and two table benches. “Landscape Forms continues to lead the industry in our use of materials such as our proprietary Meldstone™,” says Landscape Forms President Richard Heriford. “Ultra-high performance concrete lends strength and durability to STRATA Beam. We’re bringing high design to a new material made for high-performing places.”

Designer Jess Sorel combines boldness and subtlety in the STRATA Beam’s interaction of materials; the strength of cast concrete is contrasted by the warmth of slatted wood surfaces. “STRATA Beam offers the warmth and beauty of wood that people relate to juxtaposed with Meldstone structural anchors that are thin in profile and sculptural in form,” says Vice President of Design and Marketing Kirt Martin. “The angularity of the concrete plays with shadow and light, while the slatted surfaces carry light into the interior. The table and benches create an architectural presence within natural environments and a strong sense of place.”

The STRATA Beam family now includes a table and 31”- and 69”-long table benches, joining the 80”-long bench. The 69”-long table bench is sized for easy egress and ingress, and 31”-long benches can be paired at the table or placed individually to provide wheelchair access. The 80”-long, three-seat bench is offered with and without a back and arms. Meldstone comes in a full color palette.
